Tiny Chapel
While hiking in the beautiful mountains of northern New Mexico 12 years ago, I stumbled upon a tiny chapel in the pines. I spent some quite time inside the chapel and the song was a product of those special moments.
Oh, My Lord
While coaching in Bandera, Texas, many years ago I became distraught with all the negative news on the radio, tv, and newspapers, so I closed them all out of my life for a time and started reading the Bible--the song came quickly.
Mark 16:16 Goin' Down
One of my first Christian country songs, it was a fun way to proclaim the "great commission."
Have You Been Washed in His Blood Today
This song was based on 2 true stories. One told to me by my Dad and one told to me by my pastor Holland Boring, Jr. before he passed away.
Prospect for Our Lord
Roy Orbison has always been one of my favorite singers, so I wrote this in the "Pretty Woman" song style with a "Beach Boys" kind of background.
Empty Space
This song is based on a true story as told to me by a young lady I worked with named Andrea. She had had a very tough life and was only 24 years old when she told me her story.
Not to Worry, Not to Fear
I believe Jesus' return is at hand and soon our worries will be over.
Let the Spirit In
My first attempt at a fun "rockin' Christian" song with a "truth" message.
God Will Always Love You (and So Will I)
I wrote this song about my daughter and me many years ago while going through a very hurtful divorce.
Hallelujah, Glory Be
I took these song verses from the Bible and sang five background vocal parts.
God Was Alive and Well in the 50s
I grew up on doo-wop music, 10-cent movies, and Billy Graham--thus the song!
